A digital watch face with mountains in the background and fields in chamfered hexagons. A large time in the middle with small seconds, and below it the weekday, the date and a short month name, for example SAT 11 OCT. At the top a label in three lines: the watch model or your own text.

By default there are seven fields: weather with the temperature plus the daily minimum and maximum, altitude, heart rate, pressure, steps, battery and distance. Each field can be switched to one of 33 kinds of data (energy level, stress, calories, floors, sunrise and sunset, VO2 max, wind, humidity, UV index, chance of rain and more) or left empty.

Four layouts:

• fields around the time (seven fields),
• the same with a larger time (six fields),
• two big fields on top, a row of three fields at the bottom and an optional row with steps and distance,
• a list of fields on the left with the time in the bottom right corner.

Six backgrounds: lake, sunset, valley, snow, a topographic map and plain black. The first four are computer-generated images with no text and no real places. The contour map is drawn by a script, with no third-party data. The field frames can be neon, each field in its own colour, in a single accent colour, or dark tiles. A dark plate sits under the time so the digits stay readable on every background (you can switch it off).

Watches with a MIP screen (fenix 7, fenix 8 Solar and 9 Solar, Forerunner 255 and 955, Enduro 3) have 64 colours and no transparency. The photo is reduced to 16 colours with dithering there, and the fields have solid black under the numbers. On the small 218 and 240 px screens the field labels are left out; icons, numbers and units stay. On the smallest one, 218 px (Forerunner 255S), the two-big-fields and list layouts do not fit, so the face falls back to the fields-around-the-time layout there.

You can also set:

• the accent colour (red, orange, gold, green, turquoise, blue or white) for single-colour frames and the minutes,
• minutes in the accent colour or white,
• the label at the top: watch model, your own text up to 40 characters (split lines with a slash, for example DIALFORGE/PEAK HEX/ALPINE) or nothing,
• seconds (hidden automatically when the watch saves the screen),
• the thresholds where the battery turns orange and red,
• how long weather data counts as current. The phone sends the weather and the face cannot force it to fetch new data, so older data shows as "--",
• the always-on screen on AMOLED: time, date and the values of all fields, time with date, time only or off,
• the date language (13 languages), time format and leading zero.

You can change everything on the watch too, in the Customize menu, with a live preview.

Works on 64 round Garmin watches with an AMOLED or MIP screen: fenix 7, fenix 8, fenix E and fenix 9 (also Solar and Pro), epix 2 and epix Pro, Descent Mk3 and G2, Enduro 3, MARQ 2, D2 Air X10, Mach 1 and Mach 2, Approach S50 and S70, Forerunner 165, 170, 255, 265, 570, 955, 965 and 970, Venu 2, 3 and 4, vivoactive 5 and 6, and Instinct 3 AMOLED. It is not available for older watches (fenix 5 Plus and 6, Forerunner 245, 745 and 945, the first MARQ, Venu, vivoactive 4, Enduro, Descent Mk2, the Legacy series) because the photo does not fit there, nor for the square Venu Sq and Venu X1.

The face asks for location access only to calculate sunrise and sunset on the watch. It sends nothing to the internet.

Trial: the face works fully for 7 days. In the last 3 days the number of days left appears at the top. After that the face shows your Watch ID and dialforge.dev. Buy a code for that number and enter it in the Connect IQ app, in the face settings (Unlock code).

Cyfrowa tarcza z górami w tle i polami w ściętych sześciokątach. Duża godzina na środku z małymi sekundami, pod nią dzień tygodnia, data i skrót miesiąca, na przykład SOB 11 PAŹ. U góry napis w trzech liniach: model zegarka albo twój własny tekst.

Domyślnie jest siedem pól: pogoda z temperaturą, minimum i maksimum, wysokość, tętno, ciśnienie, kroki, bateria i dystans. Każde pole zmienisz na jedno z 33 rodzajów danych (poziom energii, stres, kalorie, piętra, wschód i zachód słońca, VO2 max, wiatr, wilgotność, indeks UV, szansa opadów i inne) albo zostawisz puste.

Cztery układy:

• pola wokół godziny (siedem pól),
• to samo z większą godziną (sześć pól),
• dwa duże pola u góry, rząd trzech pól na dole i opcjonalny rząd z krokami i dystansem,
• lista pól po lewej, godzina w prawym dolnym rogu.

Sześć teł: jezioro, zachód słońca, dolina, śnieg, mapa topograficzna i zwykła czerń. Cztery pierwsze to obrazy wygenerowane komputerowo, bez napisów i bez prawdziwych miejsc. Mapę poziomic rysuje skrypt, bez cudzych danych. Ramki pól mogą być neonowe, każde pole w innym kolorze, w jednym kolorze akcentu albo jako ciemne płytki. Pod godziną leży ciemna płytka, żeby cyfry były czytelne na każdym tle (możesz ją wyłączyć).

Zegarki z ekranem MIP (fenix 7, fenix 8 Solar i 9 Solar, Forerunner 255 i 955, Enduro 3) mają 64 kolory i żadnej przezroczystości. Zdjęcie jest tam sprowadzone do 16 kolorów z rozpraszaniem, a pod liczbami w polach jest pełna czerń. Na małych ekranach 218 i 240 px znikają podpisy pól, zostają ikony, liczby i jednostki. Na najmniejszym, 218 px (Forerunner 255S), układy z dwoma dużymi polami i z listą nie mieszczą się, więc tam wraca układ z polami wokół godziny.

Co jeszcze ustawisz:

• kolor akcentu (czerwony, pomarańczowy, złoty, zielony, turkusowy, niebieski albo biały) dla ramek w jednym kolorze i minut,
• minuty w kolorze akcentu albo białe,
• napis u góry: model zegarka, własny tekst do 40 znaków (linie oddzielasz ukośnikiem, na przykład DIALFORGE/PEAK HEX/ALPINE) albo nic,
• sekundy (znikają same, gdy zegarek oszczędza ekran),
• progi, od których bateria robi się pomarańczowa i czerwona,
• jak długo dane pogody są uznawane za aktualne. Pogodę wysyła telefon, tarcza nie zmusi go do pobrania nowej, więc starsze dane pokazuje jako "--",
• ekran wygaszony na AMOLED: godzina, data i wartości wszystkich pól, godzina z datą, sama godzina albo nic,
• język daty (13 języków), format godziny i zero na początku.

Wszystko zmienisz też na zegarku, w menu Dostosuj, z podglądem na żywo.

Działa na 64 okrągłych zegarkach Garmin z ekranem AMOLED albo MIP: fenix 7, fenix 8, fenix E i fenix 9 (też Solar i Pro), epix 2 i epix Pro, Descent Mk3 i G2, Enduro 3, MARQ 2, D2 Air X10, Mach 1 i Mach 2, Approach S50 i S70, Forerunner 165, 170, 255, 265, 570, 955, 965 i 970, Venu 2, 3 i 4, vivoactive 5 i 6 oraz Instinct 3 AMOLED. Nie ma jej na starszych zegarkach (fenix 5 Plus i 6, Forerunner 245, 745 i 945, pierwszy MARQ, Venu, vivoactive 4, Enduro, Descent Mk2, seria Legacy), bo tam zdjęcie się nie mieści, ani na kwadratowych Venu Sq i Venu X1.

Tarcza prosi o dostęp do lokalizacji tylko po to, żeby policzyć na zegarku wschód i zachód słońca. Nic nie wysyła do internetu.

Próba: przez 7 dni tarcza działa w całości. W ostatnich 3 dniach u góry pojawia się liczba dni, które zostały. Potem tarcza pokazuje numer ID zegarka i adres dialforge.dev. Kod kupujesz dla tego numeru i wpisujesz w aplikacji Connect IQ, w ustawieniach tarczy (pole Kod odblokowania).
